Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Psych Unit is looking for a committed and caring RN to join our amazing team as RN Clinical Coordinator! We have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. In this role you will collaborate with physicians and nursing team to coordinate care and treatment of the adult behavioral health patients to expedite admissions and coordinate resource. What you will do in this role:

• You will serve review medical presentation of the adult behavioral health patients.
• In this role your responsibilities include interacting with admitting providers to facilitate admission orders and enter admission orders for direct admits arriving from outside sources as well as perform and document adult behavioral health assessment of the patient.
• As a member of the team, you will coordinate communication related to all assessment and admission activities, insures rapid throughput for the emergency department, and works with medical staff to move patients to disposition in a timely manner.
• Some key responsibilities for you in this role will be to provide referral and develop a discharge plan, refer patients that meet criteria for outpatient and chemical dependency programs to Out Patient Program Manager.

What qualifications you will need:

• VA RN license or valid RN Compact State License
• Three years of previous Psych RN experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
