Prp Therapeutic Mentor Case Manager

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is looking for Therapeutic Mentors to collaborate and execute all eligible services to assigned individuals for youth ages 5-17, young adults ages 18-21, and adults ages 22+. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge and/or pursue higher education in the field of mental health and social work. Status:  Part-Time to Full-Time
Compensation: $17.70/hour with increases up to $32.50/hour as you build your caseload and fee-for-service.

Essential Functions:

• Help clients achieve their goals by coaching, training, and supporting linkages to community resources.
• Provide therapeutic activities and opportunities that foster social modeling, social interactions, and behavior modifications.
• Maintain contact with client (minor, young adult) and client's family and treatment team.
• Facilitate ongoing clinical collaboration with GMAY Directors, Site Directors, clinical Supervisors, and prescribers to ensure a continuum of care for mutual clients (for minors only).
• Implement rehabilitation activities outlined in the individual treatment plans.
• Maintain an active caseload of at least 15 clients (minors or a combination of all groups).
• Meet with GMAY site Director for an individual session a minimum of three (3) times per month. Participate in group supervision a minimum of once per month.
• Transport clients to/from clinics and community events.
• Attend and complete all required training both in service and online.
• Respond to communication (phone, email, text) from clients and families, referral sources, and ABH staff within 24 hours or the next business day.
• Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPAA/State compliance regulations, and EMR and uphold the 48-hour documentation standard.

Non-essential Functions:

• Maintain working knowledge of information dispersed via notifications such as memos, formal notices, and e-mails from all levels of management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or health-related field, or proof of completion of thirty (30) hours, or the equivalent of college credit toward a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, or one (1) year of work experience in a supervised mental health setting.
• Prior experience working with troubled youth, is preferred.
• Excellent working knowledge and use of an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent in both written and verbal communications skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• While performing duties, the employee will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machineries, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• The employee will occasionally need to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to travel up to 60%.
