The Technical Lead manages all of the technology workstream activities through all phases of the Epic implementation program. The lead would have deep technical knowledge and experience in system configuration, interfacing, security, integration, and testing with the experience of leading a technical workstreams for multiple Epic implementations.
The PMO Lead is a consulting leader with deep experience in Epic system implementation and optimization methodology. The role would operate within the Epic PMO by leading the development of Epic content, market pursuit and internal training efforts across our Clinical Transformation practice. With strategic practice growth plans, this role would function in an internal capacity initially (4-6 months) with plans to redirect to client delivery focus as applicable.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a project manager in the following areas:
  • Providing subject matter expertise and insight into Epic implementation methodology and approach through all program phases;
  • Planning and providing communication to team and external stakeholders;
  • Conducting planning sessions with business owners to identify, develop and progress strategic growth initiatives;
  • Acting as a liaison between practice and project delivery leads; and,
  • Providing day-to-day managerial oversight for the internal Epic PMO team and helps address all needs and requirements for progression of key tasks, deliverables and milestones.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success with an understanding of managing client engagements and producing solutions that involve, the following areas:
  • Understanding the latest industry trends and regulatory changes, and their impact to organizations;
  • Having knowledge of assessment of healthcare provider physician practice operating models, including strategy, capabilities, operational performance and governance models and compensation plan design;
  • Understanding quality reporting requirements;
  • Implementing and optimizing various physician alignment models;
  • Benchmarking to compare healthcare provider physician practice performance and costs to leading practice, including operational results, productivity, and quality metrics, and,
  • Understanding Epic implementation and optimization to develop market materials.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:
  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
  • Answering questions and providing direction to less experienced staff;
  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback;
  • Developing, writing, presenting and facilitating discussions on strategy to all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management;
  • Understanding of healthcare provider industry operations, terminology, payment systems and environment;
  • Understanding of core provider healthcare systems (including ERP and EHR technologies); and,
  • Possessing experience with common business and data tools (including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Tools, Alteryx, Tableau).
