Join the Payer Product Management team
The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating the business and technical requirements necessary for Provider Engagement solutions that meet our customer needs, expected delivery dates, and quality standards. Assess service issues and resolve technical problems through independent judgment and advanced problem-solving skills. Supports short-term product strategy (current to next release) and market in-line with the mid-to-long term vision of the Product in support company goals.
We are seeking candidates who have a strong understanding of healthcare risk adjustment methodologies, health care data and HIPAA requirements, SQL and Excel skills and experience working with BI software. (PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense)
What you will contribute:
Under the direction of the product manager, the Business Analyst works closely with a small team of developers and analysts. This position requires someone who enjoys problem solving, is detail oriented, curious, and excited about "getting in the weeds" of the data
- Supports day to day operations of the product, including regular deliverables, customer questions, ad-hoc analytics requests and managing accuracy checks of monthly production runs
- Investigates large, complex datasets for discrepancies and anomalies identified in the product
- Works collaboratively with the immediate team and across teams on interconnected data and dependencies
- Supports development, enhancements, and maintenance of customer-facing dashboards for data visualization
- Interacts with business stakeholders to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests and document into product-specific designs and configuration, detailed requirement specifications and use cases
- Delivers functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow and related documentation for new development projects and/or enhancement and modification requests
- Designs and executes functional, integration, and regression test plans for new application functionality, product releases and enhancement and regulatory modifications using business scenarios and user cases
- Knowledge transfer and documentations of issue resolution with other team members to improve overall team education level and productivity
- Take complete ownership for the assigned tasks, including escalations, and proactively inform all stakeholders
- Supports the team in defining and accomplishing goals using the SAFe Agile framework
The ideal candidate will have:
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Marketing, Finance, or business-related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- 1-2 years of healthcare industry experience
Preferred Experience:
- SQL and Microsoft Excel experience strongly preferred
- Has worked with a business intelligence software platform (PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense, etc.)
- Understanding of risk adjustment methodologies, health care data and HIPAA requirements
Travel requirements:
- <5% travel required
Working arrangements:
- Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements
- Primarily works in standard office environment or remotely
- May require after-hours, on-call support and/or holidays
