Job Summary and Qualifications

Manages Customer and Physician relations related to Enhanced Scheduling and Authorization services within respective areas. These customers include: physicians and surgeons, CEOs of hospitals, Assistant Vice President, Facility leadership and Chief Experience Officer. Scheduling and Authorization leadership and operations. The Director, Market Provider Engagement is a key leadership role and works as an extension of hospital leadership and operations, focusing on key internal and external customers to build relationships, grow volumes; develops strategic initiatives to nurture and support growing patient referrals through the Enhanced Scheduling and Authorization services. Brings disciplined and tactical approach to overseeing assigned areas, developing strategic relationships within the provider community to prioritize, achieve, and exceed goals.


What you will do in this role:

  • Manages assigned territory, leading relationship development and new business generation.
  • Identify and build relationships with referring physicians, schedulers, and both clinical and office staff of physician practices
  • Understand local market within assigned territory and helps to make recommendations around trends and opportunities to develop a clear service line strategy and growth plan with measurable results
  • Partners with business unit in development of short and long range marketing plans and budgets provided
  • Routinely monitors competition in marketplace and benchmarks against competition
  • Engages with and solicits feedback from referring physicians to understand strengths and weaknesses
  • Participates in annual strategic business planning; manages territory strategically to increase the number of referrals and drive volumes
  • Works across multiple departments to ensure issue resolution
  • Routinely meets with management, service line leaders, and others to complete tasks and resolve issues
  • Routinely monitor and gain information on competition in the marketplace. Benchmarks against competition.
  • Reports on activity levels, including outcomes on initiatives which focus on volume growth and problem resolution
  • Visits each region on a scheduled basis, approved by leadership, to ensure health of continued partnership
  • Serves as a liaison between business office, practice and/or facility to help uncover customer needs and concerns.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Enhanced Scheduling and Authorization processes, including system navigation in each application/system as necessary
  • Promotes the organization in positive manner and sets the example for company standard of excellence
  • Identify and research potential areas of growth.
  • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions
  • Understands and agrees to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
  • Capable of troubleshooting, tracking metrics, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned
  • Adheres to and supports organizational IT&S standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Adheres to Code of Conduct.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required (consideration may be given to candidates with equivalent experience).
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration or Business a plus.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree.
