FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $65,478.00-$96,000.00

Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and data-driven individual to join our team as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Proposal Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, conducting in-depth data analysis, and coordinating efforts across multiple departments to ensure the successful preparation and submission of quotes and proposals. Proficiency in tools like Power BI and Excel is a must for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:

Customer Requirement Interpretation: Analyze customer RFQ or proposal requirements and extract essential details to develop a clear understanding of the project scope.

Data Analysis: Utilize historical data, both for non-recurring and recurring efforts, as well as past quotes submitted, to inform decision-making. Identify trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.

Reporting and Visualization: Use tools like Power BI to create data visualizations and reports that provide insights into past performance and support decision-making for future quotes and proposals.

Coordination: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, engineering, and finance, to gather necessary information and ensure that all aspects of the proposal are addressed accurately.

Checklist Development: Develop and maintain checklists to streamline the RFQ and proposal submission process, ensuring all necessary components are included.

Accuracy and Quality Control: Ensure that all submitted proposals are detailed, accurate, and meet customer requirements. Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks before submission.

Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in preparing RFQs or proposals is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
