Purpose:
As the Proposal & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the marketing activities in support of client acquisition and retention, which includes production of high-quality proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral. This individual serves as a key marketing liaison to the Parkhurst Partnership Development team, playing a key role in the sales process, and partnering directly with the Partnership Development Directors to ensure the delivery of winning proposals and presentations. In addition, the Marketing Manager works closely with the Parkhurst Director of Marketing and Managing Director of Growth & Retention in developing strategic targeted marketing efforts to enhance brand awareness and drive new partnership growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Salest Directors to ensure proposals meet timelines, customer specifications, and business team requirements.
- Solicits and coordinates information from key departmental stakeholders for inclusion in proposals and presentation materials.
- Manages and maintains a robust proposal library.
- Prepares for delivery of all proposal documents for submittal.
- Responsible for employing continuous improvement analysis of the proposal and presentation process, finding new ways to implement best practices, improve quality, and streamline efficiency.
- Works closely with the Parkhurst Director of Marketing and Managing Director of Retention and Acquisition to develop marketing outreach strategies that drive client acquisition and retention.
- Performs industry competitive analysis to ensure Parkhurst remains relevant and best in class as a dining partner and provides insights to Parkhurst Marketing and Partnership Development leaders.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality of proposal information and company documents.
- Represents Parkhurst Marketing as a project manager in successful new account openings.
- Collaborates with Digital Channel Lead on social media and targeted email approach to support client acquisition strategies.
- Effectively manages Marketing Assistant and external proposal proofing contractors, ensuring all projects meet Parkhurst brand standards and are completed on time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant, professional experience managing/writing/publishing sales proposals.
- Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and InDesign.
- Strong project management and communication skills to manage a proposal team and coordinate input clearly and succinctly with all company and teammate stakeholders, including executive leadership and field operations.
- Must be able to give clear, concise directions to others and organize large volumes of information.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with short notice.
- Occasional overnight travel is required.
