The Proposal Manager position is a full-time exempt position. The individual is responsible for leading all phases of the proposal strategy, execution, and delivery process. The individual will report to the Executive Vice President.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of proposal response strategies to meet strategic business goals and customer proposal requirements.
- Analyze Requests for Information/Quote/ Proposals (RFI/RFQ/RFPs) to extract customer requirements and create compliant and complete proposal outlines.
- Lead the organization in developing responsive and compliant proposal solutions.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules, work assignments, and resource allocations.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and customer representatives in the execution of proposals.
- Lead the development of proposal materials such as: templates, outlines, technical volumes, and graphics.
- Lead all proposal reviews in accordance with the proposal process.
- Ensure compliance of proposal teams with proposal development process and tools.
- Ensure compliance of proposal teams with proposal training.
- Track and manage opportunity pipeline across all markets and produce metrics monthly.
- Collaborate with EVP to develop annual budget for proposal resources.
- Responsible for conducting searches of sources sought resources, analyzing opportunities, and presenting them to the ELT for consideration.
- Support other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
- BS degree required
- 7+ years of proposal development experience required, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Experience with story board development and technical writing.
- Experience with preparing for and conducting proposal reviews.
- Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to organize work and deliver on time work products with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small, geographically distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Candidate must be organized and detail oriented.

- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stretch and lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
