Property Maintenance Technician

North River Company is seeking a full-time, with benefits, Maintenance Technician to carry out general maintenance at One & Two Portland Square in Portland, ME. Dedication to the task at hand and determination to see it through, combined with technical experience, is what we’re looking for.

Job Description

Communicate with Property Manager and coworkers to ensure company standards are met.

After being trained, check to assure building systems are in working order.

Inspect properties for anything unusual and confidently act to resolve issues when necessary.

Assist with seasonal responsibilities, including light landscaping and snow removal.

Keep property, indoors and outdoors, clean and clear of debris.

Carry out tasks and projects as assigned.

Knowledge of general building maintenance.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Familiarity with a few, not necessarily all, of the following: HVAC, plumbing, locksmithing, drywalling, painting, carpentry, electrical.

Respectful and good at listening to others.

Able to work independently, without supervision, following written and oral directives.

A self-starter, able to scan an environment and prioritize what must be done.

Prioritizes safety, for yourself and coworkers.

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Rotating on-call schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
