- Plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates the work of housing inspectors
- Develops, implements, and monitor work plans to achieve assigned goals and objectives
- Responsible for scheduling, tracking, and monitoring the completion of all required inspections
- Inspects construction progress through completion, contractor's performance to ensure compliance, and certifies the contractor's request for payment
- Assist with the bidding process and review of the bid tabulations
- Assist customers and/or contractors with technical support and reviews change order(s) of any required revisions or additions
- Assist with contractual warranties to ensure that they are properly addressed within a reasonable time period
- Maintains a positive professional relationship with customers, contractors, sub-recipients, and staff
- Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use and comply with all City of Laredo's policies and procedures.
