Project Surveyor Ii

V3 Companies, a multi-discipline engineering, science and construction firm, is seeking a Project Surveyor II to work in our Woodridge, IL office. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Primarily perform CAD tasks in the preparation of Construction Surveys, layout calculations, ALTA, Boundary, Topographic, and Specialized Surveys.
• Prepare and coordinate construction layout calculations for field staff.
• Manage CAD generated surface models and generate accurate contours, cross sections and profile drawings.
• Perform project research and setup.
• Perform field work when necessary.

Qualified Candidates will have the following:

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or surveying and geomatics is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of practical experience performing similar work.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Ability to competently read civil, architectural, and structural drawings, including complex details, and successfully interpret for construction layout.
• Communicate with clients, accommodate client work requests, and create work order instructions for field staff.
• Construction layout and field experience a plus.
• Experience with Trimble equipment (Robotic Total Station & GPS) a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
• Work independently with little instruction.
