Project Specialist

Job Description
InterMetro Industries is seeking a Project Specialist for our Corporate HQ located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will provide support to the Foodservice Strategic Account business unit. This hybrid design/field position facilitates the deliverables of the Strategic Account business model, which is the focus on designing and manufacturing of application-based solutions to the Food Service Multi-Unit-Owner (MUO) Chain market segment. This opportunity is perfect for someone who has mechanical aptitude, has previous experience with CAD, and is willing to travel to customer sites for customer visits and audits as necessary.
What you will do:

1. Manages large project coordination: concept drawings; cost/quoting; prototypes; assembly instructions; Master Packs; PMA, spec sheets and customer catalogs.
2. Communicates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
3. Performs field visits as necessary.
4. Assists in conducting field audits as necessary.
5. Coordinates and prepares concept drawings and prototypes.
6. Trains with Chain Accounts to learn their business and operations.
7. Coordinates digital demand with Metro Sales Support.
8. Aids with required safety testing (i.e. weight load, tipping, etc.).
9. Assists in product assembly in factory or in field as needed.
10. Tracks prototype shipments and relays delivery information daily.
11. Provides net sell prices and costs to Strategic Accounts Managers (SAMs) at pre-assigned GPM levels.
12. Maintains Custom Database in Quick Base.
13. Provides quoting support.
14. Assists in planning, monitoring, and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
15. Possesses knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics.

What you need to bring to the table
Required:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. CAD proficiency required
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. The willingness and ability to travel as required, up to 30% of the time
5. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

1. Associates degree in engineering or related field
2. Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) software proficiency
3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
