We are looking for a Project Specialist to join the Farm Program Services (FPS) team in our growing firm. The FPS Project Specialist provides the FPS Team with accurate preparation and completion of all types of assigned FPS projects. The FPS Project Specialist, under the direction of the FPS Administrative Leader and other FPS leadership, will be responsible for working directly with clients to ensure they receive professional, timely service which provides true value to the client. The FPS Project Specialist will be responsible for accurate completion of FSA (Farm Service Agency) Payment Limitation documents, and general knowledge of the FPS processes and procedures. The FPS Project Specialist will serve as a contact for clients, both internal and external, when it relates to project status. The FPS Project Specialist position can successfully be done from an existing Pinion office or as a full-time remote role from an individual’s home.

USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) PROGRAM KNOWLEDGE – The Project Specialist will acquire USDA knowledge through day-to-day opportunities and self-study opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Timely, efficient, and accurate preparation, revision, and completion of all types of assigned FPS Projects. Effective communication, in writing and verbally, with the FPS Program Leader to report project status.
MAINTAINING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS – Effective, accurate, and professional communication, in writing and verbally, to internal and external clients. The Project Specialist will be the point of contact for each client during project preparation while keeping the FPS Program Leader involved and informed.
MAINTAINING EFFECTIVE FIRM RECORDS – Maintaining all required firm records in an organized fashion as established by FPS Leadership and the firm.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Farm Program Services (FSA) regulations, policies, and programs
- Minimum 2 years of experience serving in an administrative support role (professional services environment preferred)
- Ability to work with producers to maintain FSA payment limitations, or supporting programs
- Experience or familiarity with agricultural operations and practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A flexible approach to adapt to changes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Competent typing abilities
- The capability to juggle multiple tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and adhere to strict deadlines
- The ability to effectively collaborate with a team, even when members are located in different geographic regions
- A commitment to accuracy, reliability, integrity, and self-motivation in all professional endeavors
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
