We are seeking a Project Scientist (EIR Scientist) to join our team! The location of this position is flexible. Preference will be given to candidates with petroleum and/or project management experience. Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage environmental projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH through all phases, from proposal generation, project execution, reporting, and invoicing.
- Provide work assignments to support staff in execution of fieldwork and project deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports
- Assist clients with complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for the petroleum projects,
- Interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors
- Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or other applied science,
- Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) including a combination of field, data evaluation, and technical writing within the environmental site investigation & remediation practice.
- Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to site investigation, hydrogeology, and remediation of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and air impacts.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
- Good problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis.
- Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with petroleum releases and remediation projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH.
- Experience and understanding of ASTM Environmental Site Assessment preferred.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher.
