Project Quality Analyst - Internship

The Tenova Inc. internship program is designed to "test the waters" of working in the engineering and steelmaking industry. You will spend your summer working in a specific department on meaningful projects, establishing an understanding of Tenova's culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset.
The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program, you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at Tenova through valuable project work.
All internships last approximately 12 weeks. Your start/end date can vary based on your final exam schedule and needs. Internships are paid and designed to be a step towards joining Tenova with an entry-level position upon graduation.
You will be involved in supporting the Projects Services Team in assisting in the testing of the new quality control system.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze documented non-conformances and lessons learned on past projects and interpret the data to enter correctly into a new quality control database.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and commercial documents when necessary to understand the cause of non-conformances.
• Use critical thinking skills to verify the type of non-conformance to ensure that data is entered correctly.

To become an intern with Tenova, there are a few key things you'll need to have/had:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Eager to learn, attention to detail, independent/critical thinking, self-motivated, positive attitude.
• Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
• Basic understanding of engineering and construction concepts, ability to read CAD drawings.

Job Type: Part-time, max 30 hrs
