Description/Job Summary
Lindahl Reed is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to support the development and implementation of repair, alternative, and maintenance projects at Joint Base Charleston, SC. The candidate will provide project management services during the project development phase, project design phase, project procurement phase, project construction phase, claims, and post-construction phase, in addition to other services. As a customer advocate, the Project Manager/Engineer supports the development and implementation of projects across the project lifecycle, including site inspections, requirements development, statement of work and specification preparation, design review, acquisition support, installation inspection, and quality control, start-up, and commissioning, testing, claims, and warranty services. Also, provides expert advice in support of the customer’s decisions in the implementation of the project to ensure work assignments are properly coordinated and procedures implemented to accomplish the services required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (from an ABET-Accredited Institution)
- 1-3 years of experience developing and managing projects involving mechanical engineering work.
- 1-3 years of experience developing cost estimates.
- 1-3 years of experience working with critical path methodology schedules.
- 1-3 years of experience overseeing safety on construction sites.
- Knowledge of Air Force design criteria preferred.
- General knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
- Ability to work with organizational managers and higher engineering authority in developing and gaining approval for proposed facility/utility programs/projects.
- Ability to work with stakeholders in managing projects and resolving problems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external project stakeholders.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to think quickly, be flexible, and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment while providing exceptional service to candidates and employees.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills coupled with strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Team player who enjoys and is able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into processes and tactical plans.
- Military experience a plus.
- Professional Engineer license or Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Experience generating reports, such as quarterly progress reports, monthly data review reports, and adhoc reports.
- Perform site visits/investigations, including climbing ladders, moving through spaces requiring climbing over/under obstructions, accessing roofs via lifts, and traversing obstacles.

- Microsoft Office Products, Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Microsoft Project and Primavera
- Adobe Acrobat
- SharePoint
