Project Manager
This is an exciting role that will be responsible for the planning, oversight, and execution of cross-functional projects within the renewable energy space. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of maintaining cooperative, motivated, and effective project teams, and ensuring project resources are allocated and utilized in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple, complex projects and lead cross-functional project teams
- Lead project intake, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
- Hold regular project meetings and project review meetings.
- Effectively and precisely communicate project status and roadblocks across teams.
- Identify project roadblocks and risks. Use critical thinking and problem solving skills to eliminate roadblocks and minimize risks.
- Ensure that projects are managed and executed per schedule and within project scope.
- Act as a coach and provide guidance to project teams
- Manage the onboarding of multiple complex renewable energy sites.
- Lead interactions with internal and external parties to effectively coordinate new site onboarding and integration into the systems and operating protocols.
- Provide content and support to training staff for training material creation, to ensure training of new sites and applicable procedures is facilitated amongst staff.
- Maintain competency of FERC, NERC, ISO, and PUC compliance related items as applicable
- Contribute to and support compliance related audits and information requests
- Proactively identify and manage improvements related to the compliance program
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred
- Skilled in project management best practices including intake, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, able to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis in the context of project management and execution
- Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
- Remote control center operations, renewable energy site operations, and renewable energy industry experience preferred; experience in wind, solar, and/or storage is a plus.
- Understanding of FERC, NERC, ISO, and PUC standards and protocols related to remote control center and renewable energy site operations.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Able to indirectly manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise
- High energy, self-motivated, customer focused individual
- Able to proactively identify process and system improvements
- Able to perform root cause analysis regarding site operations and develop corrective actions
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time
Pay: $65 - $75 per hour
