Job Description
Seeking a Project Manager for an energy construction company based in Manchester, CT.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience in a Project Management role within the utility or construction utility industry. Working knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCad is highly desired. You have the ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments.
This position is responsible for overseeing utility services projects for Electrical Distribution and Transmission, Substations.
- Oversee project labor force.
- Responsible for budgets, schedules and customer communications.
- Develop project execution plan in accordance with the contract documents.
- Act as the customer's main contact.
- Develop and maintain the project master budget and project schedule.
- Keep management informed of any problem area, especially those that may have financial impact.
- Provide status reports on all projects to the customer.
- Provide follow-up with all customers to gauge satisfaction with services and gather input for possible improvements.
- Track all change orders and ensure prompt closeout of all projects assigned.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Construction Management or related field required.
- Must have strong analytical, verbal, written and communication skills.
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to work in and with a team to deliver quality, consistently.
- MS Excel required.
