We are seeking candidates for a full-time position in Charlotte, NC, who are detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and looking to grow with the company. The position is a hybrid of Technical Sales, application engineering, mechanical / electrical engineering, filed service engineer, and technical project management. We are a small team of industry veterans who have come together to grow Jet Fuel Specialists into the industry leading equipment supplier for large aviation fueling systems. We currently have 9 members on the team. We are looking for additional team members for our quickly growing business, someone who can thrive in small work environments with more autonomy and responsibility than larger firms. Due to the niche nature of our business, the compensation potential is higher than traditional engineering roles.
We primarily sell fixed fueling equipment (equipment not on carts or trucks) to contractors who construct commercial and military airport fueling facilities. In addition to sales, we self-perform field startup and commissioning for all equipment that we sell including but not limited to pumps, valves, instrumentation, control systems, i.e. the fixed equipment from the pipeline feeding the airport to the wing of the plane. Our primary day-to-day duties consist of evaluating system problems for contractors, design engineers, and end users and offering cost effective equipment solutions. We specialize in having a deep technical understanding of the equipment we sell and its integration into the overall fuel system. To enhance understanding of the equipment and systems, team members are responsible for traveling to job sites to startup/commission equipment, demonstrate system performance to the owner, and provide hands-on training to system operators.
Our team has supplied equipment in support of projects at many of the large commercial airports in the US. In addition, we work globally on fueling systems for the US Military and have traveled to many remote bases around the world.
