Project Manager

Yoh is hiring a Project Manager for our Northampton, MA client. In the Project Managerrole, you will define and execute Strategic projects to meet business needs. Provide cross-functional coordination, decision making and leadership to multidisciplinary teams to optimally achieve the project goals.

Job Functions

• Ensure there is a cross functionally agreed plan which can be tracked and managed. Projects will involve stakeholders from different areas of the business. Stakeholders could be across sites nationally & internationally. Therefore the post-holder must ensure that there is a sound basis for its management and overall delivery success.
• Be responsible for coordinating the project resources in order to ensure the project objectives are accomplished. They must have an understanding of when project exceptions need to be escalated through the portfolio governance process, ensuring options and recommendations for resolution are identified.
• Possess personal and professional experience to build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the project team and within internal and external stakeholders throughout the delivery cycle.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience

• Degree qualification, or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferably in science or technology - Desirable
• 2+ years relevant experience - Essential
• Proven experience of delivering projects in time, cost and quality - Essential
• Successful experience of translating business analysis into practical implementation on projects - Essential
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Agile methodologies and delivery techniques - Essential
• Professional project management qualification such as APM, IPMA, PRINCE2 or any other recognized qualification - Desirable
• Knowledge of business case creation, including how changes to plans can impact business case positively or negatively - Desirable
• amiliarity, appreciation and knowledge of end-to-end project delivery - Desirable
• Effective negotiation skills
• Proven experience of effective working with those whose specialist knowledge is greater than yours
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills
• Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills
• High levels of IT literacy, proficient user of MS Office tools and previous experience using project planning tools – E.g. MS Project, JIRA, Trello, TeamGantt
• Ability to co-ordinate colleagues, volunteers and 3rd parties through expert leadership, motivation, teamwork, supervision & accountability
• Proven capabilities to manage projects and stakeholders
