Job Description
- Ensures safety, quality, and productivity of project labor and subcontractors.
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external clients including the Owner, Architect, Subcontractor, Vendor, Trade Labor, and project team.
- Plans, schedules, coordinates, and directs field activities of assigned project(s)
- Supervises crews, material, and equipment and coordinates installation of all trades work.
- Coordinates with and provides input to project team on scheduling, engineering, material control, and job productivity.
- Monitors status of project, schedule, productivity, and costs, ensuring project is delivered on time and on budget.
- Plans for starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction based on available tools and equipment and various building methods.
- Maintain daily paperwork: timecards, field reports, daily logs, schedule updates, RFIs, and E-mail correspondence in Procore.
- Procures tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
- Conducts/attends all necessary pre-construction, progress, and project meetings.
- Participates in industry trainings, safety trainings, and necessary professional development opportunities to stay up to date on latest industry standards.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, building technology, engineering or equivalent preferred.
- 10 years' experience in the construction industry, experience in federal construction, renovations and commercial construction preferred.
- 5 or more years' experience working as a Superintendent on Federal projects.
- Familiarity with the EM 385-1-1 requirements and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance required.
- Current OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR, AED certifications required.
- Proficiency with interpreting critical path schedules and construction drawings is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Experience using various field management software, Procore preferred.
- Experience using various scheduling software, Primavera P6 preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage one's time and priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid driver's license required.
