At the forefront of medical discovery as it relates to understanding the causes of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and dementia, Pennington Biomedical Research Center is a campus of Louisiana State University and conducts basic, clinical and population research. The Center includes Basic Science, Clinical Research, and Population and Public Health, enabling both focused research and translational science. Job Description:
Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Project Manager in the Nutrition and Chronic Disease Laboratory.
Major Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of clinical trials, including paperwork processing, meeting coordination , design/implementation of project operations, utilization of data entry systems, and grant financial tracking .
• Perform research activities such as assisting with screening and follow up visits, overseeing intervention sessions, appointment scheduling and general interaction with study participants.
• Supervise project team to ensure participant safety and compliance with GCP guidelines/ establish priorities and processes for the project team.
• Assists in the orientation and education of clinical trials unit staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to learn and utilize new computer programs quickly and accurately.
