Job Description:

The Merchandising Project Manager is responsible for providing direct support and connecting the Merchandising Centers of Excellence on critical strategic and cross-departmental initiatives. The Project Manager will assist with the project management lifecycle and proactively carry out project support functions for the Merchandising team, ensuring that all initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget, and with high quality deliverables. This individual will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of department workflows and process documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and cross functional Merchandising projects, including but not limited to decentralized market openings and pod management.
  • Builds and maintains project documentation, communication plans, process documentation, workflows, etc.
  • Defines and documents project scope, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners.
  • Identifies and communicates project vision, goals, and objectives and how they support or impede organizational strategic objectives of the Merchandising department.
  • Provides process improvement recommendations based on Merchandising best practices and standards.
  • Designs and implements processes to monitor and control resources, budge, risks, and value to business objectives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships between departments and internal stakeholders within the company.
  • Provides continual follow-up to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees and defines project measures of success.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ Project Management or related experience preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university preferred.

• Retail or foodservice experience preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management software

• Strong project management skills (communication, organization, life-cycle management, etc.).
