PROJECT MANAGER
Seeking a motivated (CM/PM) Project Manager with experience with leading teams to join our team on a GSA Courthouse Construction Program in Hartford, CT. Candidate will report to a Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on a major healthcare construction project.
Responsibilities:
The candidate may lead a team of professionals and act as the Owner's representative on these programs from design through construction and closeout. The candidate will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment. The candidate will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The CM services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.
Pre-Design/Design Phase
i. Scheduling

v. Constructability and Phasing Review
Construction Period Phase
i. Establishing temporary field offices
ii. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting
iii. Construction Phase scheduling
iv. Progress Meetings
v. Assisting in issue resolution.
vi. Testing and Inspection Services
vii. Commissioning
viii. Performing additional construction-related services
ix. Claims Analysis and Resolution Services
Qualifications:
- Licensing: none required
- Education: Bachelor of Architecture,Engineering, or Construction Management from an accredited school of higher education.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in both design and construction on projects of $150M+
- CMc procurement method
- Experienced with GSA P100, Federal Courts Guidelines, and Marshall Guidelines are a Major plus! (If no Fed Courthouse exp., then Regional Courthouses and/or Major GSA Projects would be needed)
- Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master
- Requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project.
- Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
- Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project’s success.
- Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competency to work with and manage personnel of diverse skillsets.
Preferred Qualifications
- AIA, RA, PE registration
- Experience with Federal projects.
- CCM, PMP certifications
- GSA Experience
