PROJECT MANAGER – LAND SURVEY
Job Summary:
A Project Manager (PM) in the WT Group Land Surveying division manages the day-to-day office and field operations. This includes planning, scheduling, organizing, project research and preparing fieldwork. This position also involves assigning office drafting and field work to crews, boundary analysis and construction staking calculations. Reviewing completed fieldwork data with crews and assigning projects for CAD drafting are also responsibilities within this job title. This position reports directly to the Principal-in-Charge of the Practice Area.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage projects and project set-up; delegate assignments to office staff and field crews
- Train office staff in the day-to-day Land Survey office tasks which include CAD drafting, research, and filed file preparation
- Conduct boundary analysis and GIS tasks
- Work with field crews to review projects upon completion
Duties:
- Prepare construction staking calculations by interpreting designed project plans and provide office support to field crews
- Prepare project for field by compiling research and project information, review scope and assign projects to field crews
- Review completed fieldwork with crew chief and assign project for CAD drafting
- Manage day-to-day communications with clients and WT Group personnel
