Job Description:
The Project Manager II will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, and directing projects to ensure a complete business solution is implemented. Play a lead role as part of the project team and is fully responsible for managing deployment projects. Develop and manage project plans based on the Optimum Energy Project Management methodology for executing and implementing projects. Responsible for ensuring projects meet established time, cost, and technical objectives. Manage the project’s change control and effectively utilize all available methodologies and tools, culminating in customer acceptance of results. Conduct project progress reviews with customer and project team personnel, providing contingency and problem resolution plans as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage product implementation projects
- Monitor and control projects
- Identify resource requirements
- Coordinate the work of Optimum Energy resources and assigned customer tasks
- Manage and monitor cost/schedule/resource variances though Optimum’s project lifecycle
- Conduct project planning and project kick-off meetings
- Perform project status reviews and communicate project status
- Manage project submittals and documentation
- Facilitate the procurement of the IT connection between Optimum and the customer site
- Manage all aspects of post-sale implementation of project (on-time, within budget, within expectations)
- Assist in establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships and work closely with Optimum Engineers to ensure customer expectations are met/exceeded
- Conducts final project team review/post-mortem/lessons learned
- Proactively manage foreseen project risk, identify any potential risk scenarios, and facilitate issue resolution
- Provide regular milestone forecast updates to Finance team
- Work extensively with MS Project and NetSuite for maintaining project schedules, status report generation and other administrative functions
- Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of Optimum Energy’s products and services
- Participate in continuous improvement of the PMO and identifying and implementing best practices

Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years of project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience using project schedule and tracking tools (examples MS Project, NetSuite)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred:
- PMP certification
- Familiar with managing HVAC controls and chilled water system project
- Familiar with managing building systems, operations, and maintenance projects
- Building automation or technician background preferred
- Tridium/Niagra and IT/connectivity experience a plus

Salary Pay Range:
- $90,000 - 120,000 annually
