Job Duties:
Under the direct and limited supervision of the Deputy Director of Administrative Services, the Project Manager directs and oversees the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet agency goals and requirements.
Establish Project Management Office (PMO) goals, priorities and resources necessary to carry out the mission of the Agency.
Review objectives and ensure projects align with the agency's mission, strategic plan and desired outcomes.
Recommend and execute changes as needed.
Lead, coach, develop, manage and direct all staff within the Project Management Office (PMO) team.
Establish the standard methodology, governance, templates and tools necessary to manage and coordinate agency projects and initiatives.
Create a standardization of project documentation and governance and utilize agency IT resources to implement innovative solutions to assist in meeting these needs.
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, codes and regulations as well as best practices and with agency policies and procedures.
Oversee the agency's portfolio of projects including but not limited to: IT Projects, Info-Sec/Privacy Projects, Division focused projects, and Capital Projects.
Collaborate across multiple functional areas, across divisions to obtain input and provide guidance to all stakeholders with key projects.
Assist in the forecasting of upcoming agency needs.
Support the agency and the executive leadership in the development of a capital projects plan for each capital project.
Ensure monthly status updates are provided to all stakeholders.
Meet with agency Chief Financial Officer, Associate Deputy of Maintenance, Capital Projects Coordinator, and others to ensure proper oversight of each project; appropriately allocate project management staff to support capital project oversight.
Performs other related duties as assigned that supports the mission of the agency.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Agency Requirements : A bachelor's degree and experience managing large projects of complexity and risk.

Candidates must present documentation of their attainment of college degree(s) at the time of interview. Documentation must be either an official or unofficial copy of the college transcript or Letter of Verification of Degree from the institution's Registrar's Office. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: A bachelor's degree with relevant project management experience managing large projects of moderate complexity and risk. Preferred: Certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of management principles and project management methodologies.
Knowledge of DJJ's mission, programs, objectives, organizational structure, project management office operations and the processes applicable to government work.
Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.
Ability to manage work and provide guidance to assigned staff.
Ability to assign and prioritize appropriate activities based on organizational goals and situational pressures.
Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
This position performs job duties relating to the c ustody, control, transportation or recapture of juveniles within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice and the employee may have direct and indirect contact with juveniles within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice
