GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Division - Tremco Roofing & Building Maintenance

Department - Product & Technical Solutions

The Project Manager's purpose is to lead and collaborate with a team of professionals, internal and external, from various departments to complete projects. Projects include, but are not limited to, process development and improvement, data and information management, product development, and acquisitions.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, executing, and seeing through to completion, projects, and initiatives by engaging with leaders & colleagues across departments to help identify and scope business challenges, help conduct fact-based analyses and problem solving, and help develop actionable recommendations to drive business impact through improvements in process and customer experience. May execute or participate in developing and implementing the recommended solutions.

This role will be responsible for creating project plans, establishing timelines, building budgets, driving project progress, and adhering to business deadlines. The Project Manager will be required to report on progress and provide regular updates to leadership. They will coordinate team resources, direct team members, and distribute responsibilities. They will organize and file project documents, communications, and meeting notes throughout projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the timely delivery of project results that meet or exceed agreed-upon metrics or goals
  • Develop presentations for senior management to facilitate discussions on project or program progress, results, and assistance needed from them
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior management & leadership
  • Mentor Associate Project Managers on general project management skills
  • Assign resources and set project scope
  • Developing, maintaining, and adjusting detailed project plans & schedules (define activities, sequence, and durations)
  • Conduct regular project check-ins
  • Participate in setting & reviewing project budgets
  • Identify potential risks and avoid/minimize impact
  • Ensure task execution & implement corrective measures when necessary
  • Maintain organized and proper file management and project documentation
  • For Lean-based projects:
    • Generate insights based on tools including (but not limited to) customer interviews, desk research, discussions with process experts, focus groups, and surveys
    • Ensure disciplined, data-driven, well-documented approaches to improving end-to-end operational performance led by voice of the customer.
    • Effectively achieve consensus and buy-in for implementation of business process improvement solutions
    • Identify & quantify high-value business process improvement opportunities.
    • Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Microsoft 365 (specifically Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Visio)
  • Able to write basic and complex formulas in Excel
  • Effective in Smartsheet

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $58,000 and $73,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
