Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, a large international law firm, is seeking a Project Manager for our Litigation E-Discovery Department. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating e-discovery and litigation support for multiple matters as assigned by Team Management. They manage all aspects of e-discovery for case teams and clients from collection through production and regularly assist with early case assessments, information governance strategies, document management strategies, document review strategies, budgeting, collections, training, and conferences. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for case team attorneys, paralegals, E-Discovery Team members and vendors. The Senior Project Manager works in coordination with the E-Discovery Team’s analysts, attorneys, and paralegals to fulfill case team and client requests. Senior Project Managers ensure plans are executed and tracked, status is regularly communicated to case teams and final metrics are documented.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage project deadlines and budgets. Prepare estimates, scheduled and regular status reports for assigned cases.
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and management of in-house operational e-discovery projects
(Including project plans, collections, work orders, processing instructions, specifications, productions, etc.).
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and management of in-house document review projects (including use of search terms, technology-assisted review, review strategy, reviewer training, etc.)
Develop technology solutions for e-discovery projects.
- Serve as a point of contact for case teams regarding e-discovery project management (including database design, operational processes, document review processes, technology needs, case management tools, trial support, etc.). Work with attorneys and paralegals to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge, Education, Certification, Licenses
Required:
- Four-year degree or equivalent.
- At least one Relativity certification (Relativity Certified Administrator, Relativity Review Management Specialist, Relativity Project Management Specialist, etc.) or demonstrated a high level of experience with Relativity.
Preferred:
- Basic hardware and network systems knowledge.
- RCA (Relativity Certified Administrator)
- CEDS (Certified E-Discovery Specialist)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
Optional:
- JD Degree
Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Knowledge of the litigation process from initial filing through trial.
- Experience with Relativity, West Case Notebook, CaseMap, Concordance, and other widely used E-Discovery applications.
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Outstanding E-Discovery services and client relationship-building skills.
- Ability to anticipate issues and solve them before a problem arises.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working under strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Highly motivated to gain expertise and achieve certifications in both technical and legal project management fields.
- Proven successful Project Management implementation and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to cultivate customer, vendor, and co-worker relationships.
- Proven critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years E-Discovery and Litigation Support Project Management Experience.
Preferred:
- Law firm experience preferred
This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position is $100K -$157,600k dependent upon geographic location.
