POSITION PURPOSE:

This position will manage multiple construction projects including planning, budgeting, and implementation of project control processes to deliver successful projects. The ideal candidate for this position has a thorough understanding of standard construction practices, is detail oriented, self-motivated, a team player, and has the ability to effectively communicate. The Project Manager will work closely with executive management and field staff in driving both production, schedule and budget on each project assigned. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Lead the development and implementation of project control processes.
• Manage project budget. Communicate balance/unbalance items, production rates on major items and anticipated profit.
• Create project schedule and work order w/cost codes.
• Draft Subcontracts, request to sublets, insurance and review.
• Attend pre-construction conference.
• Draft initial project correspondence (start intentions, notices, and contacts).
• Responsible for RFC LOG Maintenance
• Responsible for daily issues, correspondence and plan changes.
• Weekly job-site meetings (safety, production, budget, schedule, issues).
• Monthly job-site meetings (schedule/process, and issues)-owner/engineer attends
• Keep schedule up-to-date (weekly).
• Monthly invoices reviews for approval and Monthly Revenue Projections
• Complete all post-construction activities such as addressing outstanding issues needing resolve, correspondence and plan changes.
• Complete a Project Financial Review.
• Lead by example in communicating and supporting a proactive Safety Culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.A./B.S. in Construction Management, Industrial Technology or Engineering is preferred
• Required Knowledge: Industry, general project management, blueprints and specifications (ability to read and understand), procurement, contract administration, insurance, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.   
• Minimum 2 years project management experience in the construction industry. Exposure to civil and/or marine projects is a plus

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent math aptitude
• Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and negotiation skills
  
• Good with problem solving  
• Must have excellent computers skills with basic knowledge Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook), and technology savvy with an iPad.  Exposure to project management and scheduling software is a plus.
  
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job, Planswift, Bluebeam, Trimble Earthworks is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally as needed, and flexible to work extended hours and days to meet project demands
