Project Manager (Hybrid - Asheville, NC)
Position Summary
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, monitor, and finalize projects according to the needs of the business. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating team efforts to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will use agile methodologies for process improvements related to change management and incident response strategies, adhering to best practices for security and compliance.
Essential Job Functions
- Project Management
- Work with technology leadership, product owners and stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and iterate IT and ERP solutions to support Dorel Home business operations.
- Coach team on implementing agile methodologies.
- Develop and maintain project tracking and reporting for visibility to technology goals and priority projects.
- Coordinate and project manage cross-functional team efforts to assure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Identify improvements in process/project flow, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand reasonable timelines for work completion and push back when needed.
- Anticipate and recognize blockers and adapt work process/approach to overcome them.
- Communication
- Create and execute project communication plans.
- Utilize communication tools to keep stakeholders apprised of progress on their initiatives.
- Document processes to assure compliance with standards for security and data protection.
- Proactively communicate with project teams to achieve milestones and remove blockers.
- Participate in development of training and documentation to support internal and external system users.
- Schedule and participate in team meetings, to follow up, document decision points, prioritize work, provide updates, and track dependencies.
- Reporting
- Project Status and dashboard reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
- Dashboards and reports for daily operations.
- Work with management team to identify key metrics for measuring success.
- Other reports as needed.

- Willingness to actively pursue knowledge in the areas of project management methodologies, best practices, and processes.
- Demonstrate coachability and openness to feedback from peers, stakeholders, manager, etc. and apply feedback to improve daily.
- This position will rely heavily on the ability to work with other highly technical people to develop and maintain advanced solutions using a multitude of technologies.
Other Responsibilities
- Office supply ordering and management.
- Assist in planning team summits and celebrations.

Qualifications
- Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferably in the field of Project Management, Business Management, or
Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Prior Experience
- Minimum of two years' experience in technical project management
- Experience in project management methodologies including Waterfall, Kanban, or Scrum, etc.
- Hard Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or equivalent project management software tools
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
