Office Location: 1801 W. Warner, Suite 202, Chicago IL; required in-office minimum of 3 days per week (hybrid work policy subject to change)
Background: The mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Chicago is to provide hope and improve the quality of life for those whose lives are affected by mental illness. NAMI Chicago seeks to fill gaps in Chicago's mental health system, with an intentional emphasis on serving underrepresented populations and breaking down barriers to care.
Who We Are Looking For: The Project Manager supports NAMI Chicago's mission by providing project and program support on various organizational initiatives. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Project Manager is immersed in NAMI Chicago's strategy and operations, providing support for communications, process improvement, and special projects. They are responsible for working across teams to ensure processes exist for collaboration and cross-functional information sharing. They are also responsible for supporting teams across NAMI in development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate is organized and has a track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Project manage short term initiatives to ensure consistency, quality and success of NAMI Chicago's operations, including but not limited to: Identifying and supporting internal professional development needs through training acquisition and development; Supporting agency strategic planning process through a project management framework; Developing policies, processes and procedures as needed across the agency to support overall strategy and operations
- Project manage communications and media initiatives by: Managing internal requests for social media posting; Updating the NAMI Chicago website; And coordinating with external consultants to ensure media requests and information are delivered in a timely manner
- Supporting the Executive Leadership Team by coordinating cross-functional program updates, all staff meetings, and staff retreats
- Gain knowledge of NAMI Chicago's overall operations and identify gaps, opportunities to support, and contribute to strategy as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in any field
- Minimum two years of administrative or project management experience
- Experience in communications or media support is preferred
- Computer Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by NAMI Chicago
