What You'll Do:

  • You’ll help the Project Manager in every aspect of rail car manufacturing, from concept to completion.

  • You’ll learn and apply document management, requirements management, and task tracking to ensure project documentation is accurate, organized, and readily accessible.

  • You’ll leverage your Microsoft Excel expertise to create macros and build dynamic reports and spreadsheets for data analysis.

  • You’ll analyze project data to identify trends and patterns, monitor performance, and generate insightful reports for informed decision-making.

  • You’ll utilize your coding skills to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes.

  • You’ll collaborate effectively with project teams, engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely project delivery.

  • You’ll facilitate clear stakeholder communication, keeping everyone informed and aligned.

  • You’ll create, manage, and distribute project reports and documentation.

  • You’ll assist with administrative tasks such as information gathering, data analysis, and meeting planning.

  • You’ll learn and apply Project Management fundamentals through comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in any field (engineering, business, or computer science preferred) or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • You are proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications, including Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.

  • You have excellent Microsoft Excel skills with a knack for data analysis and visualization.

  • You are tech-savvy and comfortable using various software tools and applications.

  • You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy.

  • You have a strong understanding of data analysis and document management.

  • You connect with everyone, from engineers to executives, and build trust across diverse teams.

  • You have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Bonus Points:

  • You have experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry.

  • You are familiar with Project Management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

  • You have a basic understanding of Python programming (bonus points for expertise!).

  • You have good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to finding solutions.
