Medical Affairs Analytics Contractor

The Analytics Contractor will manage the analytics function for Global DCV Medical. This person will lead the consolidation of Global KPIs and metrics reporting working collaboratively with US, Europe and JPAC to create functional dashboards that assess field based medical performance. This role necessitates a candidate who collaborates with stakeholders and communicates opportunities to addressing unmet needs through analytics. Reports directly to the Sr. Director, Operations, DCV Global-US Field Medical Operations Group.
Manage the analytics function for DCV Medical Affairs, supporting US and Regional Field Based Medical teams, managing the analytics objectives; contributing overall to the following:
Analyzing, interpreting and visualizing data to help users meet reporting analytical needs.
Creating and maintaining reports & dashboards that are clear, concise and representative of the identified needs, using query, reporting and visualization tools.
Work collaboratively with business partners to facilitate more efficient and effective ways to collect, maintain, and report information.
Insight analysis, metric tracking and reporting
Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of metrics, KPI's and other analytics and generating communications and reports that may be relevant for inclusion in responses to Corporate Integrity Agreements, FDA Audits, and other significant reports to the VP DCV Field Medical Operations, the Medical Unit Heads and Field Medical as well as when requested by Chief Medical Office, and/or Executive Committee
Maintains relationships with and provides reporting & analytical support to business functions and supports cross-functional projects. Serves as resource to other therapeutic area and functions to ensure consistent collection, analysis and presentation of data for Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and outcome metrics.
Develops organizational proficiency within existing databases and systems providing source data including, but not limited, to iEI, Siebel, Data Vision, etc.
Is proficient in data consolidation and visualization tools in order to efficiently and accurately roll up global data into dashboards for periodic as well as ad hoc reporting
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills:At least 7 years' experience in Pharmaceutical or related industry with demonstrated ability to lead and perform analyses on key organizational performance, financial and operational data / metrics to drive meaningful improvement to organizational performance
Demonstrated experience with providing advanced data insights as well as expert knowledge of analysis tools
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Qlikview and other common analytic tools, especially data collection and visualization techniques that can be readily updated frequently as well as ad hoc
Exceptional verbal and visual communication skills to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to a wide variety of audiences.
Demonstrated strong client-orientation when working with and for internal customers.
Demonstrated comfort in interacting with senior management.
Ability to collaborate in a rapidly evolving environment.
Ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders.
Demonstrated curiosity to tackle hard business problems using data and analytics to develop meaningful, practical solutions.
Strong background in bio-medical science, or experience working in a scientific/medical environment preferred
Previous experience working with field medical and or medical information functions preferred.
Previous experience with Cedegim EI, iEI, Siebel systems preferred
Previous demonstration of abilities to create "dashboards" to summarize analytic trends requiring synthesis of several disparate sources of data into a common view strongly preferred.
Previous management / supervisory / consulting experience preferred.
Proficiency in accessing data sources of differing complexities required. Knowledge of analytic techniques including practical statistics and knowledge of database querying and query design a plus.
Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and presentation (including Excel, Qlikview or other Visualization tools) and strong presentation skills (including PowerPoint) required.
Process improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) certification or experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships and ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
