If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! GEE Group is helping a growing engineering firm with finding a Project Inspector to join their team.
Responsibilities:
· Perform construction administration and inspection services for various projects, including state, county, and local roadway, and bridge projects, as well as municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
· Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications to ensure compliance with state regulations and project plans.
· Read blueprints and work on a variety of construction projects, verifying plan quantities and calculations.
· Prepare and maintain project records, reporting progress and any issues to the Project Engineer.
· Notify contractors or Project Engineers of status updates or non-conforming work.
Requirements:
· Knowledge of construction inspection/administration.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Reliability and punctuality are essential.
· Quality-minded and client-focused.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and enforce quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Desired minimum of 2 years of transportation construction inspection experience; candidates with 5+ years preferred.
· Preferred certifications: DOT certifications, ACI Concrete field-testing Technician-Grade I, NICET Highway Construction Level II, IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Tech Level II, IMSA Roadway Lighting Tech Level I, NICET Level II construction materials testing, and NICET Level II Geotechnical Engineering Technology-Highway Construction Level II or III.
· Education: Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred. Alternatively, equivalent post-secondary education with a 2 to 4-year degree or a High School diploma or GED in combination with NICET Highway construction level II certification.
· Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
