Nuclear Fuels Inc. is looking for exploration geologists with experience in uranium exploration and development. The Kaycee Uranium Project held by NFI consists of roll-fronts hosted in fluvial sandstone units of Cretaceous to Tertiary age hosted in the Lance, Fort Union, and Wasatch Formations as they occur along the south-west flank of the Powder River Basin of southern Johnson Co., WY. The upcoming drilling program will be focused on definition and delineation of roll-front uranium deposits along a 33+ mile long trend parallel to the outcropping Pine Ridge that defines the south-west extent of the Powder River Basin in the area. The drilling will be completed using mud-rotary truck-mounted drill rigs and logged with a down-hole geophysical logging truck using a gamma probe (including SP & Resistivity). The drill cuttings will be logged by the exploration geologist for lithology as well as alteration and tell-tale mineralogical changes. The exploration program is scheduled to last 5 months from May to October 2024. Basic requirements: Education of a BSc in Geology; Experience in exploration drilling within sedimentary with roll-front uranium deposits; Experience working within Wyoming strata; Ability to interpret down hole gamma/SP/Resistivity logs and correlate to drill cuttings; Technical skills with excel, ArcGIS and field orientation is important; Candidates will need to work full days in the field, safe around a drill rig or working in the elements; The work schedule is 15 days on, 13 days off.
