Halff has an opening for a Professional Engineer with experience in Transportation Design/PS&E in our Corpus Christi, TX office. The Corpus Christi team is looking for a talented professional to join a new Transportation team in support of performing Transportation Design for TxDOT roadway & highway design projects. The successful candidate should have experience managing a design team, coordinating with clients or stakeholders and leading delivery of transportation planning and/or design projects. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction. The candidate will work closely with the transportation team leader and area operation manager in business development activities.
Project EngineerEssential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Works under a Team Leader in the development of roadway design and P,S,&E
- Manages multiple transportation projects in support of business needs
- Manages the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff
- Assists with business development activities
Project Engineer Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- PE in the State of Texas or willing to obtain license within six months
- 5+ years of experience in transportation project delivery; TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is desirable
- MicroStation CADD and Geopak experience; OpenRoads experience desirable
- Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
