JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer--Traffic is responsible for supporting each project with design tracking and coordination of all aspects of construction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training, completion of Electrical Apprenticeship and/or related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years construction management, estimating and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
- Familiarity with PlanGrid Construction Software.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive document controls experience.
- Working knowledge of job cost tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
- Ability to prioritize and complete projects accurately and on schedule.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact in high stress or ambiguous situations.
- Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and understand project drawings and specs.
- Provides technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
- Tracks construction contract design changes and updates.
- Tracks project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs.
- Assists with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log.
- Assists with development and maintenance of project schedule.
- Assists with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs.
- Prepares project submittals and submits written RFIs to client.
- Assists with punch list and close-out.
- This position may be required to drive.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Compensation Range: $80k-$95k
- Discretionary Bonus eligible
