Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager

Primoris Vadnais Trenchless is searching for a Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager in the Tampa, FL area.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Coordinate field work with superintendent & subcontractors.
• Review and respond where necessary to all project documents including, but not limited to,
correspondence, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI's, and change requests.
• Use CADD program to provide technical layouts
• Prepare change cost estimates and proposals and maintain proposed change order logs and records.
• Prepare, review, and distribute project submittals and request for information.
• Attend meetings and maintain accurate minutes/notes of meeting(s).
• Provide all paperwork required on the project ON TIME. This includes, but is not limited to: Timesheets,
Daily Reports, Reimbursement Forms, Field Purchase Orders, Receipts, Shipping Tags, Sign-off Sheets,
and any other required paperwork.
• Assist Superintendent with procurement of materials and supplies, including establishing credit accounts
with vendors.
• Provides daily site photos and diaries.
• Maintains all project-related information in project folder through company server.
• Develop job cost forecasts and participate in job cost reviews.
• Develop and submit monthly billings (w/Project Manager approval).
• Participate in the planning and scheduling of the project, including project schedule updates.
• Maintain regular communication with VTS Management on project status.
• Communicate between VTS, Owner and Owner’s Engineer.
• Accountable for all safety on the project.
• Prepare and maintain Project As-Builts.
• Maintain QC Program.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-4 years’ experience as Project Engineer in a civil construction environment.
• Experience in trenchless construction (tunneling, boring, etc) desired, but not required.
Salary & Bonus Plan:
• To Be Negotiated and Commensurate with Experience
