Job Summary: Perform engineering duties in areas of design, develop, test, and qualify products. Conduct applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials, equipment, design, and manufacture to ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility and support proposals and quotations.
General Duties:
· Assessing and evaluate RFI/RFQ/RFP requirements, scope, deliverables according to Product Specifications for feasibilities.
· Establish Compliance Matrix based on customer spec.
· Provide cost estimates (WBS) to support proposals and budget planning.
· Use Solidwork to create models and drawings for products in development phase
· Undertake relevant research for new materials and methods for development project to improve product cost, reliability, and safety
· Follow procedures and processes to organize and maintain engineering records
· Construct prototypes and validate designs with IPT
· Prepare work instructions for assembly and test to support prototyping and production
· Assist and/or perform physical assembly and test on engineering prototypes
· Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards, and regulatory requirements
· Measure performance of mechanical components, devices, and deliverables
· Assist project PM to manage budget, schedule, and specifications that meet customer requirements
· Liaise with customers and suppliers whenever needed
· Produce and implement designs and test procedures
· Present proposed designs to customers and management
· Write technical specifications, reports, and documentations as well as prepare presentations
· Analyze and interpret data to provide technical advice
· Mentoring junior team members as needed

Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design in aerospace industry
- Experience with various tests (Static, Dynamic, Vibe, Shock, Quasi-Static), design, and analysis
- Ability to apply analytical problem solving skills in a practical setting
- Ability to independently identify and prioritize tasks according to customer commitments and organization’s objectives
- Act as a technical leader and champion for application of modern technology
- In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks and/or 3D CAD software
- Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Impeccable attention to details
- Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate effectively to achieve positive results in a challenging work environment
- Knowledge of Materials and Processes (M&P)
- Be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Be able to communication effectively and efficiently when present information, respond, and address requests/concerns
- Excellent writing skills to produce technical documents, reports, and business correspondences.
- Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory requirements, and government regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
- A desire and willingness to keep up to date with new product marketing trends and technologies
- A creative approach when it comes to generating new ideas
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a wide audience with varying technical backgrounds
- Be able to take initiative for continuous improvement

Pay: $86,024.00 - $93,126.00 per year
