Stronghold Engineering is an award winning Electrical and General Contractor is seeking a strong, experienced Project Engineer to help support our growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Project Manager with the development of construction project schedules for a three week look ahead with the Project Superintendent.
- Assist Project Manager(s) with Change Order Processes, as needed.
- Support Project Manager in preparation of reports.
- Preparation of submittals for applicable scopes of work.
- Ensures that submittals are logged, submitted, received, corrected, tracked and approved, and returned in a timely manner.
- Updates and organizes submittal files, as needed, to ensure completeness.
- Studies and understands the contract specifications, drawings, and associated scope of work requirements for each project before the project begins and during construction operations.
- Assists Project Manager in the collection of Daily Reports from Subcontractors.
- Processes as-built updates, as needed.
- Update Request For Information (RFI) and Subcontractor Log on a weekly basis.
- Coordination of material deliveries and subcontractor work.
- Maintain on-site safety files to include; Equipment checklist, Activity Hazard Analysis, etc...
- Assists Project Manager in obtaining required permits for the work from governmental agencies and in coordinating required inspections by appropriate inspectors.
- Prepares for and attends weekly Project Meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Certificates / Licenses
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not requried
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record.
Experience
- 4 + years' experience in the construction industry
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to work in a productive manner independently and with others in a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and tool tracking software programs.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in a written form.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to computer rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, specifications, construction cost data and other contract documents to identify any errors, omissions, code violations and design inadequacies.

Please Note:
The starting annual base wage for this position is between USD $52,000 - $80,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training/education, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
