Project Coordinator

Position Overview: This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing center projects that directly support the development of girls in the areas of life skills, college and career readiness, health and nutrition.

Role and Responsibilities

• Works with Associate Executive Director or designee to create a plan of action that achieves the goals and objectives of each project to enhance girls' self-sufficiency
• Plans and implements creative activities that aim to strengthen standard project programming
• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, timelines, plans and reports
• Creates proposed budgets for individual project activities and maintains the project within that budget
• Document and track all project expenses for reporting purposes
• Assist in data collection and research for quality assurance reviews and grant reporting
• Provide data summaries and reports to Associate Executive Director
• Engage with girls to foster completion of required pre and post assessments
• Collaborates with the transition counselor to provide college and career readiness support services to transition girls
• Educate girls on the resources within their community in relation to food, housing, transportation, job training, education, employment, legal, medical, and mental health needs
• Assist girls with educational support and career counseling by identifying interests, strengths, areas for development, and realistic placement opportunities
• Expose girls to a multitude of career paths and assist them with preparation for job searches, interviews and the development of positive work habits
• Lead group counseling sessions to enhance and support girls' social and life skills development
• Attends, assists and/or leads coordination of community service, enrichment activities, and family building events, as designated
• Works in partnership with girls and their families to find a common approach to problem solving, crisis counseling and intervention
• Prepares for and participates in care review meetings alongside a multi-disciplinary team
• Uses ETO to document in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Pace policies and regulatory agency standards
• Assist program in any other required tasks as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University with a major in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field
• Minimum three to five years prior experience working with adolescent youth Knowledge of case management practices, youth counseling and crisis management skills
• Experience using personal computers and basic office equipment
• Current Florida driver's license valid to transport youth

• Must work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements
• Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required

Preferred

• Master's in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Counseling or a related field Knowledge of state and school districts policies; knowledge of laws relating to children and families
• Experience working with at-risk youth
