Summary:

The Project Coordinator role exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to take inside the innovation end-to-end process. Performs routine and non-routine trend monitoring and data analysis to inform the project decision making process. We’re looking to expand our innovation team with someone who can help us disrupt the industry. That could mean finding the best solution since drones, computer vision and aerial imaging. Or it may come from your interest in behavioral science, artificial intelligence, or robotics.

 

Schedule & Location:

This position will be based at our global headquarters campus located in Johnston, Rhode Island.


Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on trends and emerging signals in the market across industries.
  • Explore the startup ecosystem to identify potential collaborations/partnerships.
  • Propose, lead or support innovation projects that can help shape the future of the company.
  • Help build collaboration within the organization to promote innovative efforts.
  • Be part of driving a culture of innovation within the company.
  • Schedule project team meetings, communicate with project stakeholders and team members, track and report on project progress toward milestones and roadblocks and prepare project KPI dashboards.
  • Recommend opportunities to pursue, investigate, ideate, and test for suitability to move forward to scale in partnership with various stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in project lead roles with successful track record  
  • Experience coordinating medium and large-scale projects

 

Required Education:

  • 4-years bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Workfront, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Highly Preferred Education:

  • Project management training or qualifications

 

Required Work Experience:

  • 3-years experience in project coordination or project management roles

 

Highly Preferred Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years

 

Required Skills:

  • Technical Ability: Knowledge of standard documentation tools (e.g., Workfront; MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to learn and adapt effectively to new operational tools  

 

  • Presentation & Communication: Strong communication skills (including written and oral presentation skills)  

 

  • Planning & Organizing: Skilled at developing schedules and timetables with clear, specific milestones, deadlines, and contingencies. Able to monitor team performance and adjust plans or pace based on progress, performance, risks, and issues.

 

  • Problem Solving: Effective at anticipating, identifying, and implementing practical and timely solutions to problems.

 

  • Partnership Building: Ability to multi-task and partner effectively with different types of stakeholders (Staff Groups; Strategy & Business Enablement; Delivery Practices Group) 

 

Highly Preferred Skills:

  • A basic familiarity with innovative technologies as this role may be involved in supporting cutting edge tech projects.

The salary range for this position is $78,500 to $112,800. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM Global’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, generous health and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, time off allowances and much more.
