Project Control Analyst

Persistent Systems LLC (“Persistent”) is a growing business that develops Mobile Ad hoc Networking (MANET) wireless tactical networking devices for Government and commercial applications. The devices are typically worn on the person, mounted onto manned vehicles, integrated into autonomous unmanned vehicles, or installed at fixed sites for on-the-move data, voice, video, and situational awareness capability. We are looking for a Project Control Analyst with a keen interest in Project Controls, system management, and compliance, and experience interfacing with Programs and Capture to join our team. You will join our rapidly growing team at Persistent Systems’ New York City headquarters and help to support the successful operation of the company’s contracting and capture functions. This role reports to the head of the Pricing Team.

This position offers visibility and requires extensive contact with all program team members, contracts team, and accounting staff in the development of Cost and Compliance tracking efforts. This includes understanding contractual management through compliance and cost tracking for ongoing programs. Activities include planning, tracking, and management of cost to actuals in accordance with customer requirements and current government regulations, laws, and company policies.

Position Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Project Controls, including document and system management, change management, and performance measurement
• Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices
• Collaborate with legal and contract teams to ensure that projects adhere to relevant regulations and contractual requirements
• Develop and maintain compliance tracking mechanisms for projects
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during compliance reviews
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance against established baselines
• Generate regular financial reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and variances
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to optimize project outcomes
• Assist in forecasting project financials and identifying potential risks and opportunities
• Analyze project performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency
• Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies
• Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations to project teams to ensure proactive risk management
• Monitor changes in project scope and assess their impact on project financials

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline and a minimum of four years of prior relevant experience
• Proven experience as a Project Control Analyst or in a similar role within a project-based environment, particularly government contracting or other compliance-related industry
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Able to work both autonomously (self-guided) and as an integral team member in a highly dynamic work environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, particularly Excel
• Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interfacing with Capture and Program organizations
• Experience working on competitive and sole source, FFP, and CPFF programs $50 Million and up

The base pay for this role can vary from $90,000 to $105,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
