The primary role of this position is to provide architectural design and documentation for parking facilities and parking related services. The position’s responsibilities range from conceptual functional parking design to full service new structured parking facility design, documentation, procurement and construction administration. As parking is a required component of most large commercial and institutional developments, you should expect to participate in a variety of project types throughout the Midwest region. While Walker serves as prime professional on many projects, Walker also provides design and consulting services for complex projects and project teams.

Prior parking or related experience not required; the willingness to learn and ability to work well in a team is required.
Responsibilities
- Code and zoning analysis and interpretation.
- Apply fundamental Life Safety requirements.
- Design and detailing of thermal and moisture envelopes.
- Technical documentation, drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Revit
We’re Excited About You If You Have
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture. (NAAB accredited)
- Architectural License or the ability to become Licensed.
- 5 plus years of experience in coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP designers in the preparation of drawings and specifications for concrete and steel buildings.
- Planning and building design experience
- Experience successfully managing multiple, concurrent projects.
