A A R Electronics is a communications and electronics systems distributor, providing solutions for businesses throughout Louisiana. We are a growing, locally owned, and operated company located in south Louisiana. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant with accounting knowledge to serve our fast growing industry. Our clientele include small, medium, and large businesses, as well as many government agencies. The Project Administrative Assistant position is considered an essential part of the company. This position will assist in our daily administrative/accounting operations.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Create Microsoft word and excel documents as needed.
- Database management.
- Assist the Service Coordinator and Bookkeeper as needed.
- General Office duties (letters, faxes, filing, answering phones and dispatching, etc.)
- Account Receivable Collections.
- Account reconciliations.
- Project budgets.
- Update and produce financial reports.
- Material acquisition and coordination.
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs. (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Accounting knowledge. (college or work history)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Computer skills are mandatory.
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Strong work ethic.
- Good communications/Listening skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in face to face encounters.
- Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and clients.
- Technical aptitude to develop abilities and product knowledge.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
