Responsibilities

Supervision of Scouting – Transfer / Junior College Prospects and Process to include: Collaborate on position specific needs to balance the roster; Monitoring of the Transfer Portal ; Determination of players that fit the Florida State Scheme and System ; Identification of Junior College and Potential Transfers Assist in the creation of Position Specific Characteristics ;Data management of targeted players and positions – Transfers and JC Prospects ; Prospect Profiles – Including Personal, Testing, and Evaluation Grading; Evaluations – Grading process of prospect; Positional and Priorities Ranking; Recruiting Board ; Film Board; Evaluations

Assist in Administration of Football Walk-on Program to determine the positional needs and numbers. Assist in the creation of the Walk-on pool with Director of HS Personnel / Director of Personnel Operations. Collaborate in the selection of players that will be invited to join the team for training camp / season.

Oversee Player Charter and Medical Information of Transfers and Junior College Prospects to include the identification and documentation of all player background / character information, critical factors (athletic ability, play speed, etc.). Collaborate with Head Athletic Trainer on risk assessment.

Perform cross check evaluations on High School Prospects.

Studies and Analytical research on current trends, player movements in the Portal and Junior Colleges to include positional, conferences, and state/areas. Prepare objective evaluation of current FSU Roster (practice, game evaluation)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and six years' experience related experience within the appropriate athletics discipline, or a high school diploma or equivalent and ten years of related experience equal to ten years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
