ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programmer & Live Event Manager will be responsible for programming and producing the 2024 Tribeca X program with support from the programming and event management teams. Part of the larger 2024 Tribeca Festival taking place June 5-16, Tribeca X recognizes the best brand-funded stories of the year through a juried competition and celebrates the intersection of advertising and entertainment through a Live Event program. This multifaceted role will: oversee competition submissions and coordinate the awards selection procedure; support the event’s programming; and assist in the production of the event itself.

Above all, you must be an effective communicator to successfully represent Tribeca X both internally and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submissions/Awards
- Screen all Tribeca X submissions across all categories.
- Provide weekly updates on submission numbers and brands for internal review.
- Support submissions awareness within industry with aim of growing submission numbers and improving industry-recognition for award winners.
- Connect partnerships team with incoming prospects/ partnership requests.
- Make suggestions for possible Live Event overlap (i.e., speakers, panel or breakout concepts, industry themes).
- Work in partnership with programming team to make final decisions on official selections.
- With Artist Relations team, coordinate jury invites, materials, and deliberations.
- Collect all relevant materials: filmmaker headshots/bios; project files, descriptions, and still images.
- Organize copy for finalist press announcement.
- Copy edit and organize materials for Tribeca X webpage, and work closely with web director to maintain the page.
- Provide Official Selections with Festival access and credentials; respond to any hospitality inquiries.
- For Awards Ceremony, provide finalist teams with information and instructions on winner announcements taking place during the Live Event (e.g., schedule, finalist roles, reserved seating); provide communications team with winners’ information; and send statues to winners not in attendance.
- Live Event Planning + Execution
- Support programming/curation of Live Event including speaker and panel topic brainstorming.
- Lead select speaker outreach (invites, follow-up, and confirmation).
- Lead pre-production calls for select panels, helping moderator shape conversation and create talking points.
- Collect and manage all panelist materials (i.e., headshots, bios).
- Confirm all AV needs and liaise with production/stage manager.
- Collect and build all show materials - screen cards with panelist names and titles, panel titles, video content.
- Manage updates to run-of-show.
- Write public-facing copy related to event such as general program description, panel descriptions, panelist bio copy editing and more for use on website, newsletters, social, invites, and more.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience: producing Live Events, in brand marketing content, in talent relations, in awards selection, or with festival work strongly preferred.
- Industry contacts and connections at brands and agencies are preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of marketing, advertising, and brand content industry trends.
- Highly organized and process-driven with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing budgets and spending.
- Able to manage stressful situations while remaining customer service oriented.
- Have strong proficiencies in all or most of Excel, Word, Google Drive, Powerpoint, Slack, Airtable, and similar.
- Willing to work both remote and onsite as needed.
SALARY: $1,000-1,500/week
