Overview Of the Role:
This key Program Specialist role provides training and Technical Assistance to a network of agencies related to information and assistance,benefits enrollment and Medicare and Medicaid Counseling. This role is the main point of contact and ensures consistent application of standards to AgeOptions' network of agencies.
- Be a resource to our funded Aging and Disability Resource Network (ADRN)
- Provide programmatic Technical Assistance to local agencies and organizations who provide direct services to the communities we serve.
- Collaborate with our network of funded agencies and other external partners.
Some of the specifics:
- Coordinate and lead quarterly ADRN meetings, annual site visits and regular updates and alerts regarding services and benefits.
- Lead training and Technical Assistance related to continuing education, outreach, Options Counselling and reporting.
- Collaborate with other AgeOptions specialists to provide training and Technical Assistance on public benefits (Medicare Savings Programs, Medicare Part D Programs, SNAP, LIHEAP and others)
- Provide information and assistance to clients who contact AgeOptions directly as needed.
- Coordinates grant objectives and deliverables. Participates in preparation of grant applications.
Experience and Skills
Who are we Looking for-- Someone with:
- Bachelor's or Master's level degree in Social Work or related area
- At least 3 years of professional work experience with an emphasis in Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Health Sciences, Training or related areas.
- At least 1 year of previous training and/or facilitation experience
- Strong knowledge of programs and services for older adults including Older Americans Act services, Medicare and other public benefits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs and applications
- Strong, demonstrated project management skills and experience
- Bi-Lingual strongly desired
- Accountable, Self-starter with a passion for our Mission, Vision and Values
- Must be willing and able to travel within the greater Chicagoland area (primarily suburban cook county) regularly

Job Benefits
The starting salary range for this role is $45,000-$55,000 annually; based upon an individual's experience, education and licensing.
In addition to your annual salary AgeOptions makes a 5% contribution to your 403(b) whether your contribute or not!!
This is a full time role and includes ability to participate in our medical, dental and vision plans
We work in a hybrid environment and this role will have responsibilities in the office and in the field as well as the ability to work remotely regularly.
