SUMMARY
The Program Specialist, Digital Inclusion provides support to bridge the digital divide for CHA’s residents, and supports CHA's Digital Resources Centers (i.e., computer labs).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides support for CHA’s Digital Inclusion services to increase awareness of affordable internet services, devices, and digital skills training; and programming and activities to increase technology literacy for residents.
· Collaborates with internal/external partners to identify training needs for residents and monitors. Troubleshoots with partners when issues with programming exists.
· Develops training materials, satisfaction surveys and facilitates trainings. Conducts one on-one training sessions and workshops for residents as necessary.
· Attends meetings as directed on behalf of Manager.
· Implements Digital Inclusion initiatives including, but not limited to, ConnectHomeUSA, PCs for People, among others.
· Presents on CHA’s Digital Inclusion programming and resources to various stakeholders.
· As needed, assists the Digital Resource Centers’ Monitors and contracted agencies in gathering and reviewing data for discrepancies and submission to Manager.
· Assists with scheduling, creating agenda items, and facilitating monthly meetings with DRC Managers’ and DRC Monitors.
· Handles multiple projects simultaneously and responds to change in a positive manner.
· May be asked to handle tasks outside of job description to meet broader goals of CHA and Resident Services; other duties as assigned.
· This position requires working hours outside of CHA's established hours of 8:30a-5p Monday-Friday.
· This position has the option of working remotely up to one day per week following successful probationary period.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with up to two (2) years of relevant work experience. The position requires strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Power Point and Excel) including the ability to compile and generate spreadsheets capturing key data related to DI initiatives, create and deliver interactive presentations and convert comprehensive information into written reports. Must be able to teach basic computer functions to all age groups. Requires travel to and work with external partners and residents in and around CHA’s properties; a valid Driver's License is required. Must possess strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills. Must have a positive attitude, the ability to adapt to change, and be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
